The CereSoft HealthAgent™ medical claims processing system is an expansion of CereSoft's award-winning FormAgent™ system. It has been enhanced to read data from the HCFA 1500, UB92 and other standard healthcare claim documents. Like FormAgent, HealthAgent reads and processes data electronically, eliminating the laborious and expensive task of manual data entry.

The difficult characteristic of most of these documents is that they are printed with red dropout ink which eliminates lines, boxes and background text after they have been scanned. While this simplifies the image, the result is that it complicates the task of registration and therefore the location and extraction of data. In addition, the variations among forms depending on their printers will cause problems as well. A unique algorithm has been developed to overcome the difficulty of having no marks on the image for use in matching the document to the template. 

Recognition
HealthAgent employs the proprietary FreeStyle™ recognition engine, which reads fields and whole words in addition to characters. This along with the ability to integrate unlimited dictionaries and validation databases will deliver unparalleled recognition accuracy. FreeStyle also provides seamless recognition of OCR, ICR, and FreeStyle Handwriting. Claim forms may now be processed without having to be separated into individual batches. 

Accuracy 
The HealthAgent system with FreeStyle recognition has been determined by leading claims processing centers to have the highest field accuracy rate of all the systems they have tested. 

Processing Speed
Each HealthAgent recognition station is capable of processing over 600 documents per hour (average 250 characters per document). This coupled with unparalleled accuracy will drastically reduce the labor required to perform editing & correction functions.
